It’s Monday again.
Actually, it’s one of the worst Mondays of the year….
Thanksgiving is over. We are all heading back to work today.
So I’m sure now is not the right time to bombard you with the pepperminty, white chocolate-y, sweet sugarplums of Christmas, right?
OR perhaps it is totally what you’ve all been waiting for since Black Friday hit last weekend!
Let’s go with the latter, shall we?
If we go with the SugarPlum Option, then I can randomly burst into song like this:
OUTSIDE THE SNOW IS FALLING AND FRIENDS ARE CALLING YOU TOOOOOOOOOOOO
If you are not a fan of my singing (boo to you) then I can at least share these lovely little hunks of wintertime wonder!
White Chocolate Peppermint Fudge: for those Mondays when you know no work is going to get done. 😉
Though Thanksgiving may very well be the Food Blogger Olympics, Christmas and all its sweet glory gives me the seemingly endless options to work with peppermint.
OH GOOD LORD WILL THERE BE EGGNOG!
Note to self: run out to buy eggnog immediately after writing this post.
But before we fall head-first into a river of eggnog, let’s enjoy this fudge and it’s fabulous winter flavor.
Every bite of this creamy white chocolate fudge will send you and your friends swooning, and the peppermint brings just enough chill to put you in the holiday spirit.
Oh and for whoever is whipping this fudge up….
you get to crush lots of candy canes. I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure “candy-cane crushing” is listed under the Acceptable Forms of Stress Release for the Holiday Season.
It may or may not scare the bejesus out of your housemates, husband, or dog; but up until the part where they come running into the kitchen expecting you to be smashing plates all over the floor, it’s quite relaxing.
Just give them a piece of fudge. They’ll understand.
Now you don’t have to make all three layers of colors if you would prefer something less Christmas-y and more wintery. Green and white would look just as lovely, or even white and a pale blue!
GO CRAZY WITH THIS FUDGE, PEOPLE!
I just loved the look of the red, green, and white candy canes I crushed for the topping so I stuck with that color scheme.
That, and Christmas is…
THE MOSTTTTT WONDERFULLLLL TIMEEEEEEE OF THE YEARRRRRR!
Ahem. I’ll try to keep the singing to a minimum.
Yeah, no, I lied just now. There will, in fact, be so much singing, that it could possibly get a little weird.
I’ll attempt to stop before then, though. 😉
Back to the fudge! Whether you are doing a Secret Santa for a friend with a sweet tooth, sticking with homemade gifts this year, or just plan old crazy about fudge, be sure to add this White Chocolate Peppermint Fudge to your list!
You’ll be oh so happy you did.
Now I’ll be back Wednesday with the first of many cute cookies for the season, so be sure to check back first thing in the morning!
