Hello friends!

Another Friday is upon us. This one is even better since it happens to be attached to Memorial Day Weekend! I hope you get to enjoy a long weekend with plenty of food, friends, bbqs, or however else you feel like celebrating the quickly approaching summer season.

I’ve decided to start posting a “Friday Favorites” every few weeks or so, since it’s obviously so unique and no one has ever thought to do this or call it Friday Favorites I always enjoy seeing what inspires my friends or what neat websites or articles they have discovered recently.

I figure I can also use these posts as a bi-weekly recap, in case any of you out there are not constantly hanging on my every word every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Yeah no I have no snarky quip for that. I ramble quite a bit.

So on to the wrap up!

#MuffinMondays came back with these slightly sweet, slightly savory, Blueberry Cornbread Muffins.


Then we had come cookie-level inception with these Cookie Butter Stuffed Snickerdoodles.

I overcame my fear of frying and came up with these Orange Creamsicle Doughnuts!

Then I went mad with deep-frying power and also fried up these Oreo Beignets.

This article from Apartment Therapy about removing rust from cast iron with a potato: IT TOTALLY WORKS! My cast iron pan and Dutch oven look brand new! Thanks potatoes. :)

Oh My Veggies posted about 4 Ways to Make Pesto without Basil and man I can’t wait to try out that sun-dried tomato version.

Speaking of pesto, this Asparagus Spinach Pesto Pasta with Blackened Shrimp from Gimme Some Oven. Yeah. I’mma eat all of that.

The Kitchn’s lovely article about getting over your fears of cooking rice helped me make rice on the stove top! Well, sort of. I made decent rice. Let’s call it progress.

I need these Black Bean, Avocado, and Goats Cheese Tacos from Warm Vanilla Sugar in my life yesterday. You heard me, YESTERDAY!
