So sorry that this post is coming to you later in the day.
I just could not, for the life of me, think of what to write last night, so I thought:
“okay, I’ll just get up early tomorrow morning and write it out no problemo…”
Naturally though, because my short-term memory has been non-existent lately, I saw what time it was on my alarm clock and simply went back to bed.
I don’t have work on Fridays! I don’t have to get up early!
EXCEPT THAT YOU DO YOU SILLY GIRL.
Blegh. I also blame the rather dreadful weather outside for this lapse on my part. How is it that I can only have sunshine in the middle of a polar vortex?
Why can’t it just be normal cold with sunshine?
No, no. silly girl. You live in New Jersey. You know how this works.
Slightly warm weather? You must get rain, loads and loads of rain.
Well at least I have these sugar cookies for when days start out rough! As you can see, they are covered in sprinkles…
the natural nemesis to bad days and bad weather.
BEGONE WEATHER! YOU ARE NO MATCH FOR MY MULTITUDE OF RAINBOW SPRINKLES!
Imagine if the bad weather really did just disappear when I
shouted wrote that? That would be the coolest super power ever.
I’d be like Storm from X-Men, only I’d bring sunshine and sugar cookies instead of cans of whoop-ass.
I would not be a very helpful X-Man.
But in terms of the sugar cookies I can definitely come through. These sugar cookies come together in minutes and are such a time-saver compared to the rolled-out sugar cookies!
Sometimes, I really need sugar cookies. Like right now.
Right this second.
I do not have the patience to make dough and then leave it in the fridge for HOURS.
Those hours could be spent eating said cookies!
So I modified my Soft and Chewy M&M Cookies to be pure sugar, pure simplicity, and pure bliss.
From start to finish, these cookies shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes!
TAKE THAT PATIENCE!
I know; I really should just work on my patience instead of speeding up cookie recipes, but then I just eat all the cookies and forget about my patience problem.
Who has a patience problem? Not me obviously. 😛
I hope you try these out this weekend, what with the insane amounts of rain we are apparently receiving in the Northeast. Cookies are a great way to spend a rainy Saturday!
I’ll be back on Monday with some sort of awesome treat or baked good. Who knows what the weekend will lead me to make?!
Teehee enjoy your weekends, and I’ll see you next week!
