Though I’m still marveling at the fact that we are already in the month of December, I decided to just dive right into the holiday baking.
White Chocolate Peppermint Fudge may be fun, but it’s nothing like baking up a batch of fresh, warm, chewy Oatmeal Cookies!
And let’s say, just for the fun of it, these oatmeal cookies were chai-flavored.
Then, again just for fun, let’s drizzle both white and milk chocolate all OVER them.
It’s beginning to look a lot like cookies for dinner for Yours Truly. 😉
There’s never a better time to make these cookies then right this minute. It’s cold outside and your craving classic, homemade goodness with just a slight twist.
I promise you; chai tea and oatmeal cookies should have hooked up ages ago.
Their children are absolutely delicious.
Is that weird?
A little weird. It’s okay: they are just cookies. They don’t know any better.
If they do, well, I’m just going to hope they haven’t figured out how to access the internet yet.
But Jess, isn’t there a cookie with eyes, arms, legs, and a giant weirdly round mouth chilling up on top of your banner RIGHT THIS MINUTE?!
They are on to me. I may or may not need to go into hiding after writing this post.
Avenge me readers! Eat all the cookies you can!
Okay, so, I may or may not have ingested
dozens a few eggnog lattes today, and this may or may not be affecting my ability to judge real life from crazy cookie dreams.
You understand though, don’t you?
Of course you do. Who can say no to eggnog lattes?
They have REAL eggnog in them!
So. Much. Nog.
Not to mention I am absolutely crazy about these cookies. They are thin but still chewy and moist, and drizzling anything in chocolate, much like covering everything in bacon, makes for an intensely comforting experience.
Warning: covering cookies in chocolate and bacon simultaneously might lead you to question why every food is not chocolate and/or bacon.
A fair question to be sure, but it might bum you out for the rest of the day.
Alrighty then – I think I’ve rambled on about cookies and chocolate (and somehow bacon even though there isn’t any in this recipe) for long enough.
In short: eat
all these cookies. Share them and watch your friends faces light up in glee, or horde them while binge watching anything on Netflix.
Whatever floats your boat. 😉
I’ll be back Friday with a sweet little treat that hasn’t made an appearance on the blog for quite some time now….
