Happy second day of fall, friends!
Do you jump into seasons or holidays quickly? I know I do.
I am forever excited about “next season,” whatever it may be. I am that person who thinks about Thanksgiving when she should be thinking about Halloween, Christmas when Halloween has only just passed.
To be fair, I do sometimes have to submit posts to Kraft two months early so they can be vetted before publishing. So really, I mean, I have to be thinking about Christmas right now.
I have to. But I also really, really want to.
I can’t be the only one. There had to be at least a few of you daydreaming about apple cider and cinnamon spice in the middle of the summer. Perhaps a couple others who were super into “Christmas in July”?
Well, regardless of how soon you or I were imagining sweater weather and crisp autumn nights, the time has finally come. We are officially in fall, and I couldn’t be happier.
To celebrate, I baked you all this amazing apple bread!
I almost named it Brown Sugar Apple Butter Applesauce Bread with Apple Cider Glaze, but then I realized that was both silly-sounding and entirely too long.
Apple Lovers’ Bread is clear and concise.
Do you love apples?
Do apples love you? (Hint: Yes they do!)
Then this bread is for you! It’s full of freshly chopped Gala apples, apple butter, and applesauce, and finished with a slightly sweet, slightly tart, apple cider drizzle. Perfectly moist and full of sweet, spicy goodness, this bread recipe is exactly what you need to welcome Autumn into your home.
If you are one of those lovely people who enjoys dunking baked goods into your morning cup of coffee, then you’ve gotta make this Apple Lovers’ Bread. It’s hearty enough to withstand the dunking process, and the result is like wrapping up in your favorite sweater on a brisk morning.
What more could you ask of your breakfast?
Could I ask my breakfast to bake itself so I can just wake up and eat it?
I mean, you could ask it that. But it’s not as satisfying as biting into something you made yourself. This recipe is so simple and you’ll have warm, fresh apple bread in the oven (and then your mouth!) in no time.
I’ll be back on Friday with another edition of Friday Favorites, so be sure to check in Friday morning!
