The name for this blog stems from a passion for baking that knows no bounds. It also came from the Neil Young song “Sugar Mountain” and its ever so slightly dark look on “adult” life:
“Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain, With the barkers and the colored balloons, You can’t be twenty on Sugar Mountain, Though you’re thinking that you’re leaving there too soon…”
For me, this blog has been my happy place, my “Sugar Mountain”. I have since then turned 24 and still see no reason to leave. 😉
So, this blog is all about food that is fun, cute, delicious, and above all, feasible. I love bright colors and sprinkles are pretty much a requirement in most of my desserts. Even if you are new to baking, I assure you that you can create anything you set your mind to, and I’m going to be here to help every step of the way!
I (and you, my lovely readers) are going to make gorgeous doughnuts, cute cookies, colorful cupcakes, and even the occasional savory dish when the mood suits us. Food is not something to fear. Food is love; it brings us all together on birthdays and every-days.
